Today is Chitra Pournami (Full moon day). Every year there will be a procession with a chariot around my neighbourhood on that day. Although we walked with the procession only once, we always look forward to the chariot passing by our house – it brings back wonderful childhood memories.
The chariot
I was so excited to get Svadhi involved in the whole event. Devotional music was on full blast and fire crackers illuminated the sky when the chariot arrived. Though it was past her bedtime, she was in a pretty good mood – she always gets excited to be apart of any happenings. She enjoyed the loud music, the crowd, and all the colors.
