Alfred’s business partner invited us to join him for a waterfall excursion. I jumped at the opportunity of an adventure. It has been a long time since we did something like this ever since Svadhi came along. I was full of excitement!
Lata Kijang is reputed as one of the tallest waterfall in Peninsula Malaysia. It’s in Negeri Sembilan near Kampung Esok (coordinates: N03 11.72′ E101 59.26′). Access to the fall is from Kampung Esok. The distance to the fall is about 20 km and you will pass Felda settlements and small kampungs on your way.
The road leading to the waterfall is quite bad. So, a 4WD is strongly advisable. Alfred, Svadhi and I went in one 4WD and his partner and his friend got on into another 4WD. Along the way, it started to rain. One of our 4WD got stuck in a mud hole. Took us about an hour or so to move the vehicle. By the time we reached the falls, it has stopped raining.
Looking at the majestic fall is truly humbling. Such is the beauty of God’s creations. It was Svadhi’s first adventure trip and many more to come 🙂
