Ammamma’s love

Amma

My mother; my pillar of strength; always there; in good and not-so-good times; she is always standing strong; has her children’s best interests in mind; selfless even in the most trying times; a great cook; feeds us with wholesome, nourishing, and scrumptious spread; she is my mother; and I carry her seed of goodness within me; and I resolve to be a better person; to do justice for all that she has sacrificed for us.

Human relations

There might be a plethora of events transpiring, but the one thing that truly makes my day or touches my heart/touches me deeply is human relationships and a kind deed.

I pride in my role as an educator in touching the lives of the future generations. I undertake my duties with passion and vigor. The photos below are taken with my Business Ethics students.

Morning reflections

  • What and for whom am I grateful for?
  • What am I excited about and looking forward to doing today?
  • What is my purpose and do my plans for today connect me to it?
  • Who can I reach out to and serve, or thank, today?

Re-creation

When we have happy and rare ecstatic moment, it’s natural to want to re-create the same experience. But is that realistic?

An experience is shaped by many factors, most of it which we cannot re-create. By holding on to the fear that this ecstatic moment will pass very soon and by holding on to future projections on when and how to re-create the same exact experience, we fail to completely savor the moment.

And the ecstatic moment just passes by without being fully experienced and savored.

To recognize and accept the impermanence of everything is liberating. Any moment cannot be re-created to give the exact experience each time it occurs because there are myriad of factors that come into play to create any given moment.
