Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve always been questioning my purpose in this world. In the job I do, in the activities I undertake and in the way I spend my time – I was always looking for an answer to how I can make a difference in another person’s life. Now as a mother, I think I have found the answer. I realize the importance of upbringing; I believe in teaching the child to be connected to his/her true self. I realize I can make a huge difference in the lives of other people whom she’ll touch – a sort of a ripple effect. It all begins from the family – the foundation.
When I look at my baby sleeping soundly in my arms, it dawned upon me the importance of my role as a mother to nurture, care and most importantly to guide her to a path filled with joy and love. The best way to impart a lesson is to be the lesson itself. I want to teach her to see beauty in the simplest things – to connect with Mother nature. I want to impart compassion, understanding and love to her so that she can in turn pass it on to all the people who crosses her path.
There are times when my mind strays from the truth; sometimes I feel connected to my true purpose, sometimes I feel like I am straying far from what I want to be. But I am fortunate to have teachers who bring me back to my true path. And as a mother, I have to take on the role and be a role model to my little girl.
