When we have happy and rare ecstatic moment, it’s natural to want to re-create the same experience. But is that realistic?
An experience is shaped by many factors, most of it which we cannot re-create. By holding on to the fear that this ecstatic moment will pass very soon and by holding on to future projections on when and how to re-create the same exact experience, we fail to completely savor the moment.
And the ecstatic moment just passes by without being fully experienced and savored.
To recognize and accept the impermanence of everything is liberating. Any moment cannot be re-created to give the exact experience each time it occurs because there are myriad of factors that come into play to create any given moment.
